The 22nd session of SLEMA Energy Management Forum was held on 28th November 2017 with Mr. Gamini Senanayake, a prominent energy sector expert in Sri Lanka sharing his knowledge and experience on “Sustainable Consumption and Production” with SLEMA members.
According to Mr. Senanayake; environmental impacts of present consumption patterns are enormous and we have already passed the ecological limits of our home planet Earth. Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with hundred and sixty nine targets have been setup to drive countries towards sustainable development. Sustainable consumption and production has been identified as a major
goal of SDGs.
