SLEMA published an energy quiz for children of ages 12 to 15 years in the ‘Funday Times’ segment of the Sunday Times newspaper. Three winners from each energy quiz were selected. A visit to the Hambantota Solar Park of Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority and the 10 MW Saga Solar Power Plant was arranged for the quiz winners and their parents on 7th December 2019.
The participants gained a wealth of knowledge from this field visit. SLEMA plans to continue the energy quiz programme in 2020.
