The SLEMA went on its annual field visit on June 28, 2025.
Our second stop was the floating solar power plant (1 MW), located in Kiri Ibban Wewa, Sevanagala. This is owned and operated by the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority. It is a pilot project constructed with a financial grant from the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and implemented with the technical assistance, while the construction was done by Yooshing Engineering (Pvt) Ltd., Bosung Powertec Co. Ltd., and Scotra Company Ltd.
